Neighborhood Watch Guidelines

Observe and Report: Be observant of any suspicious activity in your neighborhood. Report any unusual or concerning incidents to the Sheriff's Department immediately.
Communication is Key:
- Establish a communication network with your neighbors.
- Share non-emergency information and concerns within the neighborhood.
- Attend neighborhood watch meetings to discuss safety concerns and share information.
Home Security:
- Ensure your home is well-lit and secure.
- Lock doors and windows when away from home.
- Consider installing a security system.
Be a Good Witness: If you witness a crime, remain calm and observe as much detail as possible (descriptions of people, vehicles, and events).
Do Not Intervene: Neighborhood Watch members are not law enforcement officers. Do not attempt to apprehend or confront any suspicious individuals.
Respect Privacy: Be mindful of your neighbors' privacy rights. Avoid unnecessary surveillance or intrusion.
Cooperation with Law Enforcement: Work closely with your local Sheriff's Department. Attend community policing events and build relationships with your local deputies.
